Early experiences affect the development of a child’s brain. Just like houses, brains are built over time, from the bottom up. The basic architecture of the brain is constructed through early interactions and experiences. The first five years of brain development are critical, as these years provide the foundation for future learning, behavior and health.
Research demonstrates that parents are the most important factor in ensuring young children receive the stimulation and support they need to succeed.
